Großglockner High Alpine Road

The panorama road is 48 kilometres long and includes 36 hair-pin bends. On the ascent to an altitude of 2,504 metres, you will drive through a unique mountain world.

Reconstructing the original, this small settlement has been newly erected on historic ground. After visiting the village, you may even find a small nugget, panning for gold in the Fleiß stream.
Reisseck Funicular
An adventure that’s a bit steep – a ride on the funicular up into the world of the Hohe Tauern! You will overcome an incline of 82 % on the steepest stretch of the Reißeck funicular. The Reißeck narrow gauge railway will take you on to the mountain restaurant. Here you will be spellbound by the breathtaking panoramic view of the high mountains.

Falkenstein castle near Obervellach
